This Saturday, February 21, 2009, the Pacific Whale Foundation will host the 29th Whale Day, one of Maui's nicest festivals.

The day starts at 9 AM with the Whale Parade on South Kihei Road, in Kihei, right across from Kalama Park, a beautiful oceanside park, and continues until 6 PM, with a craft fair, a children's carnival, food, concerts by Hawaii's award winning stars and a display of 32,000 origami whales.

On February 18th, 2009, President Obama unveiled his "Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan," whose objective is to assist homeowners who are having difficulties due to the unstable housing market.

The Plan not only aims to help those who are behind in mortgage payments, but also those whose homes have lost value and, even though they can still afford the monthly payments, they owe more than what their home is worth.

The Realtors Association of Maui has published the 2008 Year-End Real Estate Report that shows all real estate sales in Maui County, as well as data such as average days on the market for land, condos and residential sales, average prices per location, and much more.
